○汀州方士王中立。遇道人姓趙。授以神術。中立至京師。具言靈應。勅授許州參軍留上皇城廨舍。後每於市上見之。自稱司命真君。是年五月降于中立所居之堂。戴冠佩釰。服皆青色。凡有瑞異。必先告之。中立每傳其言。

The fangshi master Wang Zhongli of Tingzhou met a Daoist adept surnamed Zhao, who transmitted divine arts to him. When Zhongli reached the capital, he fully reported these miraculous responses. By imperial edict, he was appointed an adjunct officer of Xuzhou and lodged in the official quarters of the Imperial City. Afterwards, he frequently saw the adept in the marketplace, where the adept referred to himself as the True Lord Controller of Destinies. In the fifth month of that year, he descended into the hall where Zhongli resided, wearing a cap and bearing a sword, his garments entirely azure. Whenever there were portents or anomalies, he would unfailingly announce them in advance, and Zhongli regularly transmitted his words.
