七年。中書省臣曰。白雲宗總攝沈明仁強奪民田二萬頃。誑誘愚俗十萬人私賂近侍妄受名爵。已奉旨追奪請汰其徒還所奪民田。其諸不法事宜令覈問。有旨。朕知沈明仁姦惡。其嚴鞠之。

In the seventh year, the officials of the Central Secretariat stated: 'Shen Mingren, the General Overseer of the White Cloud School, has forcibly seized twenty thousand qing of civilian fields, deceived and lured one hundred thousand foolish commoners, privately bribed palace attendants, and falsely obtained titles and nobility. Imperial decrees have already been received to strip him of these; we request to purge his followers and return the seized civilian fields. His other illicit deeds should be investigated and interrogated.' An imperial edict was issued: 'We know Shen Mingren is treacherous and evil; let him be strictly interrogated.'
