士大夫當患難則學佛。得志則有用夏變夷之說。蓋於佛無所得也。了翁有門頌。其於佛有所得歟。攻媿其知之者歟。景定二年正月二十八日。天台法照。為四明學子可登。題於月桂峯下。

When literati encounter disaster and difficulty, they study Buddhism; when they attain their ambitions, they speak of 'using Chinese ways to transform the barbarians.'
