唐太宗。四祖道信禪師四徵不起。就賜珍繒。以旌其道○代宗。詔徑山欽禪師入見。賜號國一。勅杭州長吏。月至候問。

Tang Dynasty. Emperor Taizong: The Fourth Patriarch, Chan Master Daoxin, was summoned four times and did not rise; [the emperor] sent precious silks to him to honor his path. / Emperor Daizong summoned Chan Master Qin of Mount Jing for an imperial audience, bestowed upon him the title "Foremost of the State," and decreed that the chief official of Hangzhou inquire after him monthly.
