52.22

晉簡文。有烏巢太極殿。召尼道容授八關齋戒。烏運巢而去○妖星為變。召沙門法曠行懺。星為之沒○孝武。西天涉公至長安。常呪龍致雨。秦主尊事之。

Emperor Jianwen of the Jin. When crows nested in the Taiji Hall, he summoned the nun Daorong to administer the eightfold fasting precepts, and the crows carried their nests away. When an ominous star caused an anomaly, he summoned Śramaṇa Fakuang to perform a repentance ritual, and the star disappeared because of it. Under Emperor Xiaowu, Shegong of Western India came to Chang'an; he often recited incantations over dragons to bring rain, and the ruler of the Qin honoured and served him.
