宋太祖。勅道士劉若拙充右街道錄試道士事業。未至者罷之○仁宗召道士朱自英詣闕。賜號觀妙先生。○徽宗道士林靈素入見（云云）。

Under Emperor Taizu of the Song, he decreed that the Daoist master Liu Ruozhuo fill the post of Registrar of Daoists of the Right Street to test the achievements of Daoist masters; those who were inadequate were dismissed. Emperor Renzong summoned the Daoist master Zhu Ziying to court and bestowed on him the title Master Guanmiao ("Contemplating the Wondrous"). Under Emperor Huizong, the Daoist master Lin Lingsu was admitted for an audience (and so forth).
