隋文帝。靈藏律師。帝手勅曰。弟子是俗人天子。律師是道人天子。由是度人至數萬。
Under Emperor Wen of the Sui: Concerning Vinaya Master Lingzang, the Emperor wrote an imperial autograph decree saying: "The disciple is the Son of Heaven of secular people; the Vinaya Master is the Son of Heaven of practitioners of the Way."
