Under Empress Wu of the Tang: Two daughters died in Jiangzhou. Visiting the tomb at dawn to wail, suddenly five stems of lotus flowers sprang forth. Hearing of this, the Empress summoned one daughter and personally shaved her head. ○ Under Emperor Dezong: Two nuns of Anguo Monastery, Chifa and Huiren, jointly cultivated the Lotus Samādhi. Suddenly a nun known as Konggu came to lodge overnight; in the middle of the night her body shone resplendently with light, and people said she was Samantabhadra.
