梁武帝。勅造木浮圖。堂殿房廊。賜額阿育王寺○岳陽王蕭詧。修木浮圖為五層。鑄金銅像五百軀。
Emperor Wu of the Liang decreed the construction of a wooden stupa, halls, and cloister corridors, bestowing the temple plaque "Monastery of King Aśoka." Xiao Cha, Prince of Yueyang, repaired the wooden stupa to five storeys and cast five hundred gilt-bronze images.
