懿宗。詔迎佛骨。三百里間車馬不絕。公私音樂。儀衛之盛。過於南郊。上降樓迎拜。

Emperor Yizong issued an edict to welcome the Buddha bone. For three hundred li, carriages and horses formed an unbroken line; the public and private music and the grandeur of the guard of honour surpassed even the Southern Suburban Sacrifice. The Emperor descended from his pavilion to welcome and bow before it.
