晉天福。天竺沙門道翊。獲奇木造觀音像。持古佛舍利置豪相中。白光煥發○宣徽將朱崇。掘地得大石佛。舍家為寺○開運初。勅為高祖寫大藏經。奉安明聖寺。

In the Tianfu era of the Later Jin, the Indian monk Daoyi obtained wondrous wood to carve an image of Avalokiteśvara, placing a relic of an ancient Buddha between its eyebrows, which radiated brilliant white light. ○ Zhu Chong, Commissioner of the Palace Attendants, dug the earth and unearthed a large stone Buddha; he gave up his house to make it a monastery. ○ At the beginning of the Kaiyun era, an imperial decree ordered the copying of the Tripiṭaka for Gaozu, enshrining it at Mingsheng Temple.
