Under Emperor Zhenzong of the Song, there were 397,615 monks and 61,240 nuns. Under Renzong, there were 385,520 monks and 48,740 nuns. Under Shenzong, there were 220,660 monks and 34,030 nuns. Under Gaozong, there were 200,000 monks.
