The Narrator says: Zhao Qingxian composed a stele for Guangzhi; when [the Master of] Sanxue died, his disciple Master Shui erected a stone tablet for him. These two compositions must have contained much worth recording. Now that both stones no longer survive, the deeds and careers of the two masters cannot be known, and biographies composed by later generations are merely approximations. Alas, what a pity!
