Lady Lou, [styled] Huijing, was the granddaughter of Supreme Commander Lou Shu of Siming. She married Zhou Yuanqing, Registrar of the Court of Imperial Sacrifices. She once perused and pondered the Jingde Chuandeng lu, attaining insight into the ground of truth; yet she especially considered Pure Land practice to be the genuine cultivation. In her late years she contracted an illness and suddenly saw a purple lotus platform with countless transformation Buddhas, and a wondrous fragrance filled the room. She reported this to her family and urgently had them recite the Buddha's name, and in a brief moment she passed away.
