In the twenty-fourth year (gui-mao), the Buddha, in four places and through sixteen assemblies—at Vulture Peak, in Anāthapiṇḍada's park, in the palace of the Paranirmitavaśavartin Heaven, and in the Bamboo Grove monastery—preached the Mahāprajñāpāramitā Sūtra. (Vulture Peak is five li from the city of Rājagṛha in Magadha. The Bamboo Grove is beside the city. Anāthapiṇḍada's park is in Śrāvastī; all are within Central India.)
