41.11

In the ninth year, the Emperor dreamed that a pratyekabuddha of Mount Niutou in Jiankang came to see him. He decreed that Gu Shen, the Supervisor of the Household of the Crown Prince, build a seven-tiered stupa in the mountain. In the sixth month, Tripiṭaka Master Amoghavajra reported his illness. An imperial decree conferred upon him the title of Opening the Office with Equal Rank to the Three Excellencies and enfeoffed him as Duke of the State of Su, with an estate of three thousand households. When he manifested quiescence, the Emperor suspended court for three days, bestowed sacrificial offerings, posthumously appointed him Minister of Works, and gave him the posthumous title 'Tripiṭaka Master of Great Eloquence, Rectitude, and Vast Wisdom.'
