The author remarks: The Dharma-body relics are nowhere absent. When a great resonant response occurs, they may be found even in inanimate emptiness or decaying earth. How could they be restricted by a Daoist palace or hall? Only our Zhenzong revered Heaven and served the Buddha, his virtue stirring the unseen and the manifest. Recently, pagodas and temples have repeatedly obtained relics, and now they appear again in the hall of the Sagely Ancestor. Truly, this serves to manifest our sage sovereign's heart in reverently serving both teachings, which has brought this about through the resonant response of pure sincerity.
