周武帝邕改保定（小字彌羅。宇文之第四子。登位唯布衣帔。無金寶飾。禁斷華綺。土階聽政。不施櫨栱。後宮嬪御不過十人。在位十八年。壽三十六。崩于輦輿。葬孝陵）。

Emperor Wu of the Northern Zhou, Yuwen Yong, changed the era name to Baoding. (His childhood name was Miluo. He was the fourth son of Yuwen Tai. When he ascended the throne, he wore only plain cloth robes, without gold or jeweled ornaments. He prohibited extravagant silk brocades and administered government from an earthen terrace without bracket sets. His inner palace had no more than ten consorts and concubines. He reigned for eighteen years, lived to thirty-six, passed away in his imperial carriage, and was buried at Xiaoling.)
