(26) In this year, Mount Qing first emerged. The "Treatise on the Five Elements" of the Tang History states: In the ninth month of the second year of Chuigong, in Xinfeng County of Yongzhou, amidst a great wind and roaring thunder and lightning, a mountain welled up from the ground. It was two hundred feet high, with a pond of three hundred mu around it; in the pond were the shapes of dragons and phoenixes and anomalous ears of grain and wheat. The Empress of Heaven took this as an auspicious sign, and therefore named it Mount Qing (Mount of Celebration).
