（丙辰）　詔（築大梁城行欽天曆）○詔華山隱士陳摶入見。問以飛昇黃白之術。摶答曰。天子富有四海。不應問遣還山。

(Bingchen [956]) An imperial edict ordered [the building of the walls of Daliang and the adoption of the Qintian calendar]. The hermit Chen Tuan of Mount Hua was summoned for an audience and asked about the arts of ascending to heaven and alchemy. Tuan answered, 'The Son of Heaven possesses the wealth of the four seas; he should not ask [about such things].' He was sent back to the mountain.
