於我佛祖之道深有所入信乎生死之不免故日給之餘悉為善緣而已甞鼎建保定之永寧宣府之彌陀寺極盡輪奐之美兼以四事之需至乎像設莊嚴香花供具種種殊勝其工用之費不啻計。

He had a deep entry into the Way of our Buddhas and Patriarchs, and firmly believed that birth and death cannot be avoided. Therefore, all that remained of his daily provisions was devoted entirely to wholesome causes. He once established from the ground up the Yongning Monastery in Baoding and the Amitābha Monastery in Xuanfu, exhausting all beauty of towering architecture, supplemented by the provisions of the four requisites, up to the majestic adornment of images and furnishings of incense and flowers—wondrous in every way. The expenses of its labor and materials were counted not merely in tens of millions of strings of cash.
