Emperor Shizu governed as one; / The people were thereby at peace. / And the gate of the Śākya clan / Was revitalized and settled. / At that time the Master of Longguang / Dwole in leisure without galloping about, / Dispensing his leftover energy / To write calligraphy and poetry. / His poetry promoted the lineage style; / His calligraphy released unrestrained delights. / Just as he was about to produce a grand work, / He cast it aside and abruptly departed. / Eminent monks of that era / And ducal ministers / Composed eulogies and laments, / Mourning his loss in shock. / Nearly eighty years have passed, / Yet his heroic demeanor remains present. / Who knew to commemorate him? / His successors of seven generations. / Hearing of this righteous undertaking, / The Son of Heaven was pleased; / His historical official composed these words / To tie to far-reaching memories.
