帝。帝問。汝何所習。回奏云。幼明三奇。長習佛乘。上悅。賜以碧玉香鼎。命崇香火。
the Emperor. The Emperor asked: "What have you studied?" He replied in a memorial: "In my youth I understood the Three Curiosities; when grown I studied the Buddha-yāna." The Sovereign was pleased, bestowed upon him a jasper incense burner, and commanded him to venerate the incense and lamps.
