（庚申）　○用孫寬為相。衛青霍去病為將。北伐匃奴。開河朔之地○又平南越王○東滅朝鮮為郡縣。西歷五國。執昆耶王收休屠王○後遣張騫西往身毒國。尋浮圖教。果獲之。

(Gengshen) Appointed Sun Kuan as Chancellor; Wei Qing and Huo Qubing as generals; campaigned north against the Xiongnu, opening up the Heshuo region. Also pacified the King of Southern Yue. To the east destroyed Chaoxian to make commanderies and counties. To the west traversed five countries, captured King Kunye, and took King Xiutu. Later he dispatched Zhang Qian west to the country of Shendu to seek the religion of the Buddha, and he indeed obtained it.
