先主備（字玄德。涿群人也。漢景帝孫。中山靖王勝之後。三顧茅廬。舉諸葛亮孔明為謀相。關羽張飛為將。立蜀三年崩永安宮。葬惠陵。壽六十三歲）。

The First Sovereign, [Liu] Bei (courtesy name Xuande, was a man of Zhuo commandery, a descendant of Emperor Jing of the Han, and a scion of King Jing of Zhongshan, Liu Sheng. He thrice visited the thatched cottage, enlisting Zhuge Liang, Kongming, as his strategist and chancellor, with Guan Yu and Zhang Fei as generals. He established Shu and reigned for three years before passing away in Yong'an Palace; he was buried at the Hui Mausoleum at the age of sixty-three).
