少康封少子無餘於會稽。號曰於越。自後二十世。周敬王時勾踐稱王。與吳王戰敗吳於㰎李（今淅西道嘉興路秀州也。揚域）。復滅吳吳敗越於夫椒（吳郡太湖中椒山也）。勾踐用臣范蠡大夫種等謀計。周元王三年遂乃滅吳。越後為楚所併（圖經）。

Shaokang enfeoffed his youngest son, Wuyu, at Kuaiji, with the title of Yu Yue. Twenty generations later, during the time of King Jing of Zhou, Goujian took the title of king, fought the King of Wu, and defeated Wu at Zuili (present-day Xiuzhou in Jiaxing Circuit of Xixi Circuit, in the region of Yang). Later, Wu destroyed Yue; [earlier] Wu had defeated Yue at Fujiao (Jiaoshan in Lake Tai, Wu Commandery). Goujian made use of the strategies of his ministers Fan Li, Grand Master Zhong, and others, and in the third year of King Yuan of Zhou, he finally destroyed Wu. Yue was later annexed by Chu (Gazetteers).
