燮。孝王子。覲禮不明。王下堂而見諸侯。荒服不朝。命虢公帥六師伐太原之戎。至於俞泉獲馬千疋。王在位十六年。壽六十歲。

Xie, son of King Xiao. The audience rituals were not clearly observed; the King descended to the hall to meet the feudal lords. Those in the distant domains did not come to court. He ordered the Duke of Guo to lead the six armies to attack the Rong of Taiyuan, reaching as far as Yuquan, where they captured a thousand horses. The King was on the throne for sixteen years and lived to sixty years of age.
