胡。夷王子暴虐。萬民弗忍。後三年叛王出奔于彘。周公召公二相以太子靜尚幼。乃相與和協。共理國事稱曰共和。王崩于彘。在位四十年。

Hu, son of King Yi, was tyrannical and cruel. The myriad people could not endure him. Three years later, they rebelled; the King fled to Zhi. The two chief ministers, the Duke of Zhou and the Duke of Zhao, because Crown Prince Jing was still young, acted in harmony and jointly governed state affairs, which was called the Gonghe regency. The King died in Zhi. He was on the throne for forty years.
