林平王孫。太子泄早世乃立在位二十三年。初平王東遷。晉鄭來輔。諸侯賓從。王奪鄭伯政鄭不朝。王乃伐鄭。師敗王傷。自是天子威令弱矣。

Lin was the grandson of King Ping. Crown Prince Xie having died early, he was enthroned and reigned for twenty-three years.
