孔子　靈王二十一年庚戌十一月庚子。生魯國陬邑平鄉。母顏氏禱於尼丘而生故名丘。字仲尼。孔子之生也。釋迦文佛入滅四百年。敬王四十一年壬戌孔子。卒年七十三歲。葬魯曲阜（今濟寧路兗州禹貢九州之一也。尼丘山隸兗州泗水縣）。

Confucius: In the twenty-first year of King Ling, a geng-xu year, in the eleventh month on the geng-zi day, he was born in Ping Village, Zou Hamlet, in the state of Lu. His mother, Lady Yan, prayed at Mount Ni and gave birth to him; hence his name was Qiu and his courtesy name Zhongni. When Confucius was born, Śākyamuni Buddha had entered extinction four hundred years before. In the forty-first year of King Jing, a ren-xu year, Confucius passed away at the age of seventy-three, and was buried in Qufu of Lu (now Yanzhou in Jining Route, one of the Nine Provinces of the Tribute of Yu; Mount Ni belongs to Sishui County of Yanzhou).
