丐。景王子。在位四十三年。王元年周大夫尹氏立子朝為王入王城。王如劉。王四年冬克鞏逐王子朝。王入于成周。自是謂王城為西周。成周為東周王十六年。子朝之徒作亂。王出奔于晉。十七年晉侯帥師納王。王入于王城（已上之年月春秋中）。

Gai, son of King Jing, reigned for forty-three years. In the first year of the King, the Zhou grand master Yin established Prince Chao as king and entered the Royal City; the King went to Liu. In the winter of the King's fourth year, Gong was overcome and Prince Chao was driven out; the King entered Chengzhou. From this time on, the Royal City was called Western Zhou, and Chengzhou was called Eastern Zhou. In the King's sixteenth year, partisans of Prince Chao caused a rebellion, and the King fled to Jin. In the seventeenth year, the Marquis of Jin led troops to restore the King, and the King entered the Royal City (the dates above are in the Spring and Autumn Annals).
