延。慎靚王子。在位五十九年。周東西分理。為諸侯所侵。赧王五十九年。秦昭襄王五十一年也。秦將軍樛（居由切）伐韓伐趙。赧王恐乃倍秦。與諸侯約從。將天下銳師出伊闕攻秦。令無得通陽城。秦使將軍樛攻西周。赧王入秦頓首。盡獻其邑三十六。秦受其獻。歸赧王于周。是歲赧王崩（已上之年月春秋後）。

Named Yan. Son of King Shenjing. Reigned for 59 years. Zhou was governed separately as East and West, and was encroached upon by the feudal lords. In the fifty-ninth year of King Nan, which was the fifty-first year of King Zhaoxiang of Qin, the Qin general Jiu attacked Han and attacked Zhao. King Nan was afraid and betrayed Qin, forging a vertical alliance with the feudal lords and leading the crack troops of the realm out of Yique to attack Qin, cutting off their access to Yangcheng. Qin sent General Jiu to attack Western Zhou. King Nan went to Qin, kowtowed, and surrendered all of his thirty-six settlements. Qin accepted his surrender and sent King Nan back to Zhou. In this year King Nan passed away (the above dates follow the Spring and Autumn period).
