賀。哀王之子。武帝孫元平元年四月。昭帝崩無嗣大將軍霍光與群臣議立王。王素狂縱。六月受皇帝璽綬。尊皇后曰皇太后。帝每不受諫。在位二十七日。皇太后詔廢之送昌邑邸。迎立武帝曾孫病已於民間。為昭帝嗣更名詢（本紀）。

He. Son of Prince Ai and grandson of Emperor Wu. In the fourth month of the first year of Yuanping, Emperor Zhao died without an heir. General-in-Chief Huo Guang discussed with the ministers the enthronement of the Prince. The Prince was wild and unrestrained by nature. In the sixth month, he received the imperial seal and ribbons, and honoured the Empress as Empress Dowager. The Emperor repeatedly refused remonstrance. Having reigned for twenty-seven days, the Empress Dowager issued an edict deposing him and sent him to his residence in Changyi. They welcomed and enthroned Bingyi, the great-grandson of Emperor Wu, from among the common people, making him the heir to Emperor Zhao and changing his name to Xun (Imperial Annals).
