姓司馬氏。河內人。世執魏政。受魏禪。王金德。都上洛曰西晉。移都建康曰東晉。

Surname Sima, natives of Henei. For generations they controlled the government of Wei, received the abdication of Wei, ruled by the virtue of metal, and set their capital at Shangluo, being called the Western Jin. When they relocated their capital to Jiankang, they were called the Eastern Jin.
