諱炎。字安世。文帝昭之子也。受魏禪即皇帝位。封魏帝為陳留王。追尊晉宣王懿為高祖宣皇帝（懿字仲達）景王師為世宗景皇帝（師字子元）宣帝長子也。壽四十八歲。文王昭為太祖文皇帝（昭字子上）景帝母弟也。壽五十五歲。武帝在位二十五年。壽五十五歲○泰始（十）咸寧（五）太康（十）。

His personal name was Yan, and his courtesy name was Anshi. He was the son of Emperor Wen, [Sima] Zhao. Receiving the abdication of Wei, he ascended the imperial throne. He enfeoffed the Wei emperor as Prince of Chenliu. He posthumously honoured King Xuan of Jin, [Sima] Yi, as High Ancestor, Emperor Xuan (Yi's courtesy name was Zhongda); King Jing, [Sima] Shi, as World Ancestor, Emperor Jing (Shi's courtesy name was Ziyuan; he was the eldest son of Emperor Xuan and lived to the age of forty-eight); and King Wen, [Sima] Zhao, as Grand Ancestor, Emperor Wen (Zhao's courtesy name was Zishang; he was Emperor Jing's younger brother by the same mother and lived to the age of fifty-five). Emperor Wu reigned for twenty-five years and lived to the age of fifty-five. [His reign eras were:] Taishi (ten [years]), Xianning (five [years]), and Taikang (ten [years]).
