昇明二年。右長史王儉知蕭道成意。乃唱議使中書舍人虞整作詔。進道成假黃鉞大都督中外諸軍事太傅領揚州牧。

In the second year of the Shengming reign era, Wang Jian, Senior Clerk of the Right, knew the intention of Xiao Daocheng. He thereupon proposed a motion, ordering Yu Zheng, Palace Drafter of the Secretariat, to draft an imperial edict, promoting Daocheng to carry the yellow battle-axe as Grand Commander of All Military Affairs Inside and Outside the Capital, Grand Tutor, and Shepherd of Yang Province.
