魏帝建寺奉齋造安養寺於鄴。六宮侍女持六齋精進誦經慕道者放令出家。帝度僧尼萬四千人（北史辯正）。

The Emperor of Wei built monasteries and offered vegetarian meals, constructing Anyang Monastery in Ye. Attendant maids in the six imperial palaces who maintained the six fasting days, vigorously recited scriptures, and aspired to the Way were discharged to become nuns. The Emperor ordained fourteen thousand monks and nuns (History of the Northern Dynasties and Bianzheng).
