春遊　開元十八年二月。始令百官於春月旬休選勝行樂。自宰相至員外郎凡十二筵。各賜錢五十緡。帝御花萼樓。邀其歸請留飲。迭使起舞盡歡而去。是時天下奏死罪止二十四人（唐書）。

Spring Outing: In the second month of the eighteenth year of the Kaiyuan era, all officials were first ordered to choose scenic spots and make merry during their ten-day breaks in the spring months. From the prime minister down to the supernumerary directors, there were twelve banquets in all, each bestowed fifty strings of cash. The Emperor presided at the Hua'e Pavilion; as they were preparing to return, he invited them to stay and drink, having them take turns rising to dance and making merry to the fullest before departing. At this time, only twenty-four persons under sentence of death were memorialized throughout the realm (Tang History).
