辛丑上元二年八月。制去年號但稱元年。去尊號但稱皇帝以建子月為歲首月。皆以所建之辰為數。明年復如初。史思明愛少子朝清立為太子。欲殺其長子朝義。朝義部將駱悅。囚史思明殺之。朝義朝義即帝位。

In the xinchou year, the eighth month of the second year of Shangyuan, it was decreed that the reign era name be removed and it simply be called the "First Year"; imperial honorific titles were eliminated, simply styling [the monarch] "Emperor"; the month of jianzi was made the beginning of the year, and months were all numbered by their astrological branch (chen). The next year things were restored as before. Shi Siming loved his younger son Chaoqing and installed him as crown prince, wishing to kill his eldest son Chaoyi. Chaoyi's subordinate general Luo Yue imprisoned Shi Siming and killed him. Chaoyi assumed the imperial throne.
