受戒給牒　丙子大中十年。勅法師辯章為三教首座。初令僧尼受戒給牒（唐書舊史）。

Receiving precepts and granting certificates. In the bingzi year, the tenth year of Dazhong, an imperial edict appointed Dharma Master Bianzhang as the head monk of the three teachings. For the first time, monks and nuns were ordered to be given ordination certificates upon receiving the precepts (from the Old Book of Tang).
