[Personal name] Zhu. The ninth son of Emperor Zhaozong. He reigned for four years and abdicated in favor of the Liang. The Liang enfeoffed the Emperor as King of Jiyin and moved him to Caozhou. In the wuchen year, they poisoned the King of Jiyin to death in Caozhou. He was posthumously honored as Emperor Ai of Tang, with the temple name Jingzong. Another account says: Zhu Quanzhong murdered Zhaozong and enthroned Emperor Ai; after four years, he dispatched Liu Ba to poison Emperor Ai, who was buried at Wenling. He then enthroned the Young Emperor, Prince of Pu, named Xun, also named Ji, a son of Zhaozong, with the reign era Tianshou. Zhu Quanzhong poisoned him as well, and it is said that in the fourth year of Tianyou he discussed abdicating the throne to Liang. The Basic Annals do not record the one-year reign of the Prince of Pu. Xun (fan-qie: song + lun). Tianyou: four [years].
