丁丑貞明三年　契丹神冊二年。南平劉巖即皇帝位于番隅。國號大越。改元乾亨。次年冬十一月郊天。改國號曰漢（司馬通鑑）。

Dingchou: Zhenming, third year. Khitan: Shence, second year. Liu Yan of Nanping ascended the throne as Emperor at Panyu, named his state Great Yue, and changed the reign era to Qianheng. In the eleventh month of winter the following year, he offered sacrifice to Heaven at the southern suburbs and changed the state's name to Han (Sima's Comprehensive Mirror).
