春二月。梁帝遣使冊命吳越王錢鏐為吳越國王。夏四月己巳。晉王李存勗即皇帝位於魏州牙城之南。國號大唐。改元同光。唐所有凡十三節度五十州。帥兵取梁。梁帝謂皇甫麟曰。李氏吾世讎理難降。首不可俟彼刀鋸。吾不能自裁。卿可斷吾首。麟泣遂弑梁帝。麟因自殺。十月唐帝入大梁。

In the second month of spring, the Liang Emperor sent an envoy to confer the title of King of the State of Wuyue upon King Qian Liu of Wuyue. In the fourth month of summer, on the jisi day, King Li Cunxu of Jin ascended the throne as Emperor south of the inner city of Weizhou, naming the state Great Tang and changing the reign era to Tongguang. Tang possessed a total of thirteen circuits and fifty prefectures. Leading his troops, he took Liang. The Liang Emperor said to Huangfu Lin: "The Li clan is our generational enemy; in principle, it is difficult to surrender. My head must not await their blades and saws. I cannot bring myself to end my own life; you may cut off my head." Lin wept and thereupon regicidally slew the Liang Emperor; Lin then killed himself. In the tenth month, the Tang Emperor entered Daliang.
