漢殤帝。驕奢不親政事。晉王弘熙欲圖之。乃盛飾聲伎娛悅其意以成其惡。頃之乘其醉而弑之。弘熙即皇帝位。中宗也。改年曰乾和。

Emperor Shang of Han was arrogant and extravagant, and did not attend to governmental affairs. King Hongxi of Jin wished to plot against him, so he lavishly arrayed female entertainers and musicians to amuse his mind and foster his wickedness. Before long, taking advantage of his drunkenness, he assassinated him. Hongxi acceded to the imperial throne; this was Emperor Zhongzong. He changed the reign era to Qianhe.
