正月。帝更名暠（古老子）甲子不豫。丁丑殂于萬歲殿。祕不發喪。二月立皇太子丞祐為周王。即帝位時年十八歲。

In the first month, the Emperor changed his name to Gao (pronounced like "gu-lao-zi"). On the jiazi day, he was unwell. On the dingchou day, he passed away in the Wansui Palace. The demise was kept secret and mourning was not declared. In the second month, the Crown Prince Chengyou was enfeoffed as the Prince of Zhou, and he ascended the imperial throne, being eighteen years of age at the time.
