乙卯永徽六年十月。帝命司空李勣齎璽綬。冊宸妃武氏為皇后。廢王皇后。初貞觀二年。太宗召荊州都督武士[穫-禾+(尋-口+几)]（欝縛反）女入後宮為才人。時年十四。太史奏有女主之兆出之。於感業寺為尼。永徽五年帝召之入宮為昭儀。今冊為皇后。

In the yimao year, the sixth year of Yonghui, in the tenth month, the emperor ordered Sikong Li Ji to carry the imperial seal and ribbons to invest Imperial Consort Wu as empress, deposing Empress Wang. Earlier, in the second year of Zhenguan, Emperor Taizong summoned the daughter of Wu Shihuo (pronounced yufu), Area Commander of Jingzhou, to enter the imperial harem as a Talented Lady (Cairen) at the age of fourteen. The Grand Astrologer memorialized that there was an omen of a female ruler, so she was sent out to become a nun at Ganye Monastery. In the fifth year of Yonghui, the emperor summoned her to enter the palace as Bright Concubine (Zhaoyi). Now she was invested as empress.
