3.62

壬戌龍朔二年。二月改百官名。以門下省為東臺。中書省為西臺。尚書省為中臺。侍中為左相。中書令為右相。僕射為匡正。左右丞為肅機。尚書為大常伯。侍郎為少常伯。其餘二十四司御史臺九寺七監十六衛。並以義訓更其名。職任如故（唐書）。

In the renxu year, the second year of Longshuo, in the second month, the titles of the hundred officials were changed: the Chancellery (Menxia sheng) became the Eastern Terrace; the Secretariat (Zhongshu sheng) became the Western Terrace; the Department of State Affairs (Shangshu sheng) became the Central Terrace; the Director of the Chancellery (Shizhong) became the Left Minister; the Director of the Secretariat (Zhongshu ling) became the Right Minister; the Vice Directors (Pushe) became the Rectifiers; the Left and Right Assistants (Cheng) became the Controllers of Affairs; the Ministers (Shangshu) became Grand Regulars; and the Vice Ministers (Shilang) became Lesser Regulars. The remaining twenty-four bureaus, the Censorate, the nine courts, the seven directorates, and the sixteen guards all had their titles changed according to classical meanings, while their official responsibilities remained as before (from the Book of Tang).
