夏四月。詔迎韶州曹溪南華禪寺六祖大鑑禪師衣鉢。入禁中清淨堂供養。八月十五日。遣使送還賜南華長老普遂號智度大師（續燈錄）。大契丹興宗即帝位。諱宗真。番名木不孤。順聖元妃所生。聖宗第八子也。在位二十五年崩。

In summer, the fourth month, an imperial edict welcomed the robe and bowl of the Sixth Patriarch, Chan Master Dajian, from Nanhua Chan Monastery at Caoxi in Shaozhou, into the Qingjing Hall of the imperial palace to receive offerings. On the fifteenth day of the eighth month, an envoy was dispatched to return them, and the Elder of Nanhua, Pusui, was bestowed the title Great Master Zhidu (Xu deng lu). In the Great Khitan, Emperor Xingzong ascended the imperial throne. His personal name was Zongzhen, and his non-Chinese name was Mubu'gu; he was born of the Primary Consort Shunsheng, and was the eighth son of Shengzong. He reigned for twenty-five years before passing away.
