The *Huizheng ji* (Record of Aligning with Correctness) was composed by Vinaya Master Kan. The Master's name was Yunkan, a native of Qiantang. When young, he shaved his head under Great Master Chongjiao Huisi of Tiantai. In learning, there was nothing he did not master, and he specialized in the Vinaya section. From the Qingli and Huangyou reign eras onward, he established ordination platforms in accordance with the Vinaya at Great Zhaoking in Hangzhou, Kaiyuan in Suzhou, and Jingyan in Xiuzhou. Year after year he ordained monks to pray for the Emperor's longevity. The Master wrote twelve works including the *Huizheng ji*, lecturing on and continuing the Vinaya Canon of Vinaya Master Daoxuan of Nanshan. After him came Vinaya Master Lingzhi Yuanzhao, who continued and succeeded to his tradition. On the twenty-sixth day of the eleventh month of this year, the Master entered extinction at Zhaoking. His stupa was moved to Bodhi at West Lake, and he was titled Great Vinaya Master Zhenwu Zhiyuan (Stupa Inscription).
