宋五月二十三日。勅賜婕妤劉氏功德院。以褒親崇壽為額。寧宗嘉定十七年。始詔正悟法師元粹開山住持。傳十方天台教觀。風山劉寺今為兩竺之亞（寺記）。

In the Song, on the twenty-third day of the fifth month, an imperial decree granted Lady of Handsome Demeanour Liu a cloister of merit, with the plaque 'Baoqin Chongshou' (Honoring Kin and Exalting Longevity). In the seventeenth year of Jiading under Emperor Ningzong, an imperial order was first issued commanding Dharma Master Zhengwu Yuancui to open the mountain and serve as abbot, transmitting the Tiantai teachings and contemplation to all ten directions. The Liu Temple at Fengshan is now second only to the Two Tianzhus (Monastery Record).
